Cloud Biscuits

2 c flour
1 T sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c shortening (I like to use softened margarine)
1 beaten egg
2/3 c milk

Cut shortening into flour. Add rest of ingredients. Roll out 3/4 inch thick, and cut out biscuits. A regular size canning ring is just the right size. Bake at 375 for 10 to 15 minutes.
